Just had to let you guys know that the charter we had Tuesday night September 13th was a blast.  My brother from Texas will be singing your praises from here to Houston and you put the fishing bug back into my older kids and gave my daughter a fishing ego bigger than she is.  Thanks again for a great charter and you guys are my go to guys for future trips – James N – 9/15/16

june 12thOver the years I have had the chance to fish all over the country and to fish with some of the best fisherman on the east coast. One thing always seem to be missing , nothing was ever perfect. Well 8 years ago I took my crew on our first trip aboard the BROOKLYN GIRL out ORIENT POINT NY, and what a trip it was we had five fish over 38 lbs with three over 40 and 1 over 50 lbs. this was one of those nights that you could do no wrong. The fish gods were with us on this night so as fisherman usually do we booked another trip as quick as possible. On that trip we had plenty of fish and even two in the high 30lb class but nothing like that first night. As the season rolled on we sailed about 10 times with CAPT. KENNY and I was very quick to realize something. What I realized not many charter boat captains do or would even consider doing. On a slow night it was getting close to the end of the trip and we were short of our limit. Kenny did what no other would even think about, with ten min left he told us to pull our lines and we were going to try one last thing. We stopped way off the usual spots and set the drift. Boom BOOM BOOMMMM three rods are in like that. It was amazing it was now way past our time to be fishing but the ol capt. Didn’t care he was there to put fish in the boat and he did just that. We got our limit that night and on the way in I realized something. Most not all but most captain’s goal is hurry up and get the limit and get back in. Not this Boat they will do everything under the sun to bring you the fish. I could go on for hours and my spelling sucks so before I put you all to sleep I want to say this. If you have never fished ORIENT well I advise you give it a shot. And there is no question what boat to book with. KENNY thank you for doing what you do and being a straight shooter – Vinny C – 1/2/14

As always, thank you Captain Ken, the crew and thank you Barbara for an awesome experience and a great time.  Hands down this is the best charter boat in NY.  See you again soon – Armando E – 7/29/16

Hi Barbara, the trip was everything you said and more.  Like I said to Kenny, I have been fishing since I was 9 and this was the best experience I have ever had.  I had my wife and 2 daughters with me and they had a ball.  By 9:40am, we had a 40 quart cooler full of Porgies and Sea Bass.  We made another drop and filled up another 2 buckets of fish.  As you can imagine, my 3 ladies lost a lot of fish due to inexperience.  Thank you Marco and Brian.  My girls and wife talked about it for the entire day and all day Sunday Cecil A – 9/22/15

I had a great outing with you Ken.  That was not just because I caught fish but because of the company.  You are truly a pleasure to travel with.  I had a tremendous time and will be booking you again shortly.  Ken, you are a class act for committing to the trip after some cancellations.  I won’t forget a person who meets his commitments.  Thank you for the great memories and I look forward to making more in the trips to come – Dan K – 8/18/14

Had a great trip with you folks last Saturday.  I couldn’t have asked for a better day of Blackfishing.  You folks really know how to treat your guests.  I say “guests” because I didn’t feel like just another fare but a guest.  Ken is a great captain and your mates are not only patient and knowledgeable, they are a lot of fun.  I live an hour and a half away in East Rockaway, but I will keep coming back as it is worth every penny!  Brian O – 11/13/15

We definitely had an epic day.  All the Sea Bass you want and some JUMBO Porgies.  Capt. Ken worked real hard to keep us over the fish.  The NE winds did not make it easy.  We had 2 mates, Brian and Marco who worked real hard.  Thanks guys, looking forward to Blackfish season! – 9/27/15

Just a note to add that we had a great trip this past Sunday.  Me and my two buddies have fished up and down the east coast from Islamorada, Key West to Montauk.  We agree that our favorite boat/Captain/Crew is the Brooklyn Girl.  We stopped fishing two other boats before committing to the Brooklyn Girl.  The Brooklyn Girl does not take their customers for granted nor mind burning fuel to put you on the fish.  Capt. Ken also discusses his fishing plans with you.  The Brooklyn Girl is a comfortable boat, with attentive, pleasant mates, a Capt. who moves to find fish and will tie rigs for you, great tunes, and real fishermen-customers make for the best boat on Long Island – Dennis O – 10/21/15

Thanks again for a fantastic trip.  What started out as a simple request by the three young girls on board to go fishing turned out to be some great memories that will last them a lifetime.  Everyone had a great time and an awesome fish dinner.  I can’t be more happy with what a great job Ken and Marco did to make this happen for me and my family – Benson C – 8/6/15

You can’t find a harder working captain, mates that are on the spot to help you out, or a cleaner boat.  Fish on the Brooklyn Girl at least once a year with my son from Wisconsin and never disappointed maybe for the last 10-12 years.  Caught my largest bass (47 pounds) somewhere in the east end of the Race.  Would love to top that but HEY that was a night of a lifetime.  Lots of blues and other action early in our trip this year, then some good bassing.  8 fares – 8 keepers all exciting fish, plenty of legal size throwbacks because of the boat limiting out.  Busy action all night long.  First 5 drifts in the Gut and I had 4 bluefish.  Later caught a 10 pounder that claimed my shoulders for the night!  Bass ranged from teens to 20 pounds.  Great time, my son won the pool!! – Jim M – 7/30/16
